Born in the Bronx, NY the year the Dodgers snatched the World Series from his precious Yankees, Mr. Dantona believes anything is possible. Education was a 1970’s smorgasbord, assembling and consuming the best of Emerson College, Suffolk University, SUNY and NYU School of the Arts.
His artwork represents a thirty-year journey as TV cameraman, photographer, producer/director, creative director and interactive media pioneer and innovator.
He has emerged from the commercial media world as a fine art photographer. His Artist’s Statement concludes with the proclamation that, “I make art as a quest for authenticity and plea for the rediscovery of connection.”
Mr. Dantona is now collected by the Tennessee State Museum, the Cumberland Heights Foundation and individual art collectors. He is a NAPP Guru Award winner in Photography and a Jacob Riis Award Finalist. Mr. Dantona offers workshops, lectures and exhibits in juried group shows around the country regularly.
